The foremost female lead in Yue opera, Mao Weitao returns to the Hong Kong stage with the all-female cast of Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe, presenting the New Yue opera “Su Dongpo” premieres in Hong Kong. This new opera brings to the stage the extraordinary life of Su Dongpo, a luminary poet of the Song Dynasty and one of the most revered literary figures in Chinese history. Though his path was marked by political turmoil and personal hardship, Su never lost his creative spirit or moral clarity. From the depths of exile to moments of quiet joy, he transformed experience into verse—leaving behind a legacy of prose and poetry that continues to move and inspire across the centuries.
Helmed by three-time China Theatre Plum Blossom Award winner Mao Weitao as artistic director, this production brings together an exceptional creative team—celebrated playwright He Jiping and senior director Roy Szeto. Blending the troupe’s signature poetic impressionism with bold contemporary staging, they breathe vivid life into the legendary poet’s brilliance, resilience, and enduring spirit.

^New Gold Membership Recruitment
Individuals who submit their Gold Membership application online between 24 and 30 March 2026 and are successfully approved for membership by 9 April 2026 shall qualify for ticket registration under this promotion. They will have the opportunity to redeem two complimentary tickets, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis. Approval of Gold Membership typically takes approximately 5-7 working days. Notification will be sent via email.
Ticket Registration Arrangements
Eligible New Gold Members will receive a personal telephone call in mid-April 2026 for ticket registration. Registration will be processed in the order of Gold Membership applications are received, with limited tickets available for each performance. Allocations will cease once capacity is reached.
Ticket Collection Arrangements
Eligible New Gold Members may collect tickets at Centaline Property's Tsim Sha Tsui headquarters between 13–17 April 2026. Further details will be provided via individual notification.

- Tickets are not applicable for children under 6 years old and wheelchair seats.
- If the performance is postponed/canceled for any reason, the reserved/collected tickets will be void and cannot be redeemed or refunded.
