Mrs. Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended the event cocktail and enjoyed the opening performance of Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances which is presented by Hong Kong Dance Company and sponsored by Centaline Club. Mr. Addy Wong - Founding Chairman of Centaline Club, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer-Asia Pacific of Centaline Property, Mr. Ray Lau, Secretary for Home Affairs of H.K.S.A.R., and Mr Wilson Fung, Board Chairman of Hong Kong Dance Company enjoyed the opening performance too.
Hong Kong Dance Company has always been nurtured in the cultural tradition of China, impressing the world with Chinese dance of Hong Kong character. After sponsoring the dance dramas like “Storm Clouds” and “L'Amour Immortel”, Centaline Club supported Hong Kong Dance Company for the third year, by sponsoring the opening performance of the dance show, Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances.
After the toasting ceremony, Mr Addy Wong joined chairman of Centaline Club, Clement Choi, and the committees, together with our members to enjoy the graceful dance in the Court Dances.
Introduction to Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances
Hong Kong Dance Company, this year, joined force with the Classical Dance Department of Beijing Dance Academy to present Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances. The performance recreated, with extensive reference to archaeological archives, a representative collection of Chinese court dances from different times.
