The classic and heart-wrenching ‘The Butterfly Lovers’ has been presented to audiences in different forms over the years and touched the hearts of countless viewers. In 2025, the award-winning, all-female cast of the “Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yue Opera Troupe” returns to Hong Kong after 10 years with a special anniversary performance, including “The New Butterfly Lovers”, which will be performed for two consecutive days. The stellar line-up of performers, coupled with the classic plays that theatregoers have been eagerly awaiting, has led to a rush for tickets, with both performances sold out, making it difficult to get a single ticket.
