Centaline Club is proud to present the sponsored event “After Snowfall”, a multimedia collaboration of Dance Rhyme, Calligraphy, Martial Arts and Technology. The title of After Snowfall comes from the famous letters to his friends by Wang Xizhi, the Sage of Calligraphy. Dancers who have been trained in martial arts will lift the brush and ink sticks and use the art of dance to trace the calligraphy. This new production weaves a “character” of strength and grace, combining the fluidity of dance and the power of martial arts with skill and artistry.
This performance will feature the internationally acclaimed violinist Ms Yao Jue, together with rising Hong Kong new media artist Mr Chris Cheung, weaving a grand dance work to captivate and inspire our audience. This programme has also been selected as one of the “Expo Programmes” in the inaugural edition of the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo, allowing art lovers from the mainland and abroad to appreciate the essence of Chinese ink art and dance from a new perspective.
