Shih Wing Ching, was born in 1949 in Shanghai. Shih’s ancestral origin is Ningbo, Zhejiang and he came to Hong Kong with his family in 1953. Having spent 8 years of teaching in a workers’ night school after high-school graduation, Shih founded Centaline Property Agency Limited with his schoolmate Wong Man Yin in 1978. Later in 1992, Wong Man Yin left Centaline in pursuit of his own beliefs, and Shih was left to manage the company alone. Since then, Shih developed Centaline into an enterprise with business covering more than 30 cities in the Mainland China, with 50,000 employees. Centaline reaches transactions of HK$1trillion annually and has a yearly turnover of HK$10 billion.

The business of Centaline has been diversified in recently years and is therefore regarded as an entity with favorable development potentials. Apart from property agency, the company now involves in businesses of surveying and valuation, mortgage agency, data consolidation, financial services, wealth management, securities brokerage, credit reporting, property management and online media.

In addition to managing the business of Centaline, Shih actively participates in public services. Shih served respectively as the Member of the Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Hospital Governing Committee of The Hospital Authority, The Hong Kong Housing Authority, The Commission on Strategic Development, Task Force on Economic Challenges, The Estate Agents Authority and The Consumer Council.

With enthusiasm for charity and public welfares, and for cultural development, Shih also served as the Council Member of Oxfam Hong Kong, the Honorable Director of Sowers Action, Chairman of Green Council and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hong Kong Sinfonietta.

In 2005, Shih in his own capacity founded a free newspaper in Hong Kong, am730. Since then, Shih contributes daily articles as the newspaper’s columnist to share views on current affairs, experience in commerce and philosophy of life. Shih is a well received critic for his extensive range of interests, the ability to give accurate quotes, and his unique angle of analysis differing from people’s accustomed way of thinking.

In 2008, Shih donated all his shares in Centaline Group to Shih Wing Ching Foundation, the charitable organization established in 1994. Further in 2010, Shih donated the majority of his shares in am730, leaving the rest of the shares in am730 as the newspaper’s staff involvement in ownership. Shih Wing Ching Foundation subsists more than 100 projects annually in Hong Kong, China and other developing regions in the world, with the aim to alleviate poverty, improve the livelihood, education level and medical condition of people in need, provide relief for natural disasters, and promote environmental protection.

Shih looks forward to placing focus on charity works after his retirement.

Mr. Alex Shih studied real estate economics in the UK and worked for a well-known property developer after graduating. He officially joined Centaline Group in 2015, starting from the frontline of real estate agency work to eventually becoming the CEO of the group. Alex understands the operational situation of each department and values talent, encouraging employees to express their opinions actively. He supports inter-departmental collaboration based on project needs using a "self-organizing" model to enhance the company's soft power.

Mr. Alex Shih emphasizes "innovation and strong platforms," actively promoting company reform and innovation by connecting online and offline through a powerful platform. He also participates in creating multiple internal and external system platforms and is committed to developing mobile apps to improve the company's operational efficiency and customer experience significantly. In 2019, Centaline won the "IFTA Fintech Achievement Award - PropTech" as the only award-winning enterprise in the industry. In 2017, it won the "e-Generation Brand Award" for Best Real Estate Information Mobile App, becoming the only Hong Kong real estate agency to win an award in that category. That same year, Mr. Shih established Centaline Data Technology Company in Hong Kong to further enhance Centaline's corporate value through data, digitalization, and technology.

With his youthful thinking, he injects new vitality into Centaline's development and leads it steadily forward with innovative strength. Under his leadership, Centaline launched the "first second-hand property blockchain cross-border platform," introduced Hong Kong's first "second-hand property mortgage application app," "VR Property Viewing Guide," and established a Greater Bay Area task force for "pioneering cross-border VR property viewing." These initiatives allow customers to experience properties without time or geographical constraints, guiding the company towards information technology innovation and transformation.

Furthermore, he places importance on corporate social responsibility. With his strong support, Centaline introduced the "Centaline City Rent Index," reflecting trends in rental prices of major private residential estates in Hong Kong. This provides essential reference data for the market, increases market transparency, and is beneficial to the industry in the long run.

Mr. Alex Shih received the "Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award" in 2021.

Mr. Addy Wong is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (Asia Pacific) of Centaline Property Agency Ltd, Chairman of Centaline Charity Fund Limited, Hon. He was a President of Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association(2020-2022); Ordinary Member of Estate Agents Authority (2016-2022); Member of Personal Data (Privacy) Advisory Committee (2017-2023); Member of HKTDC’s Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee (2018-2022); Member of Pan-Pearl River Delta Panel established under the HKSAR Government’s Central Policy Unit (2008-2010); Vice Chairman (2014-2016) and Advisory Committee (2006-2014) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University – College of Professional and Continuing Education; He also has the enthusiasm in nurturing elites in the field of Music. Mr. Louis Chan joined Centaline Property in 1986. He is now leading the residential sales teams, project teams, and finance teams. With many years of experience in the real estate agency industry, he has made great contributions in selling, staff training, and professional development. With his keen market sense, Mr. Chan has led the sales teams to achieve success over the years.

His insightful commentaries have made him popular in the mainstream media and became one of the representatives of the industry.

Mr. Stanley Poon has 30-year experience in the real estate agency industry and has a good understanding of the market. He currently runs the commercial divisions of Centaline Property in Hong Kong, residential and commercial divisions in Macau and Hengqin. He actively participates in formulating strategies for brand development and staff training. He has also written a book to share his own experiences and tips for being a top salesperson. As a pioneer, Mr. Poon makes use of information technology to enhance sales performance and inter-departmental communication.

In order to raise the professional standard of the real estate agency industry in Macau, Mr. Poon provided advice to the establishment of Macau’s real estate agent licensing system. He has set up a training institution with Centaline (Macau) to provide regular and practical training courses for local staff.
